Poor Execution
Printed out of PLA, a biodegradable 3D printing filament, and ABS mingled with genuine deer sheds, Poor Execution represents a fusion of nature and human hubris.
With engineered microbes being developed to produce biofuels and break down industrial waste— genetics has a lot to offer the world in terms of health and better living. But what happens when we take it to the realm of altering ourselves?
At what point would we stop being homo sapien and become a new spices of genetically intermingled beings? Will this increase bio diversity or will it shallow our gene-pool with the fickle tides of fashion and fancy on what mixture or look is the best?
This piece is what I imagine would result from attempts to make an organic organism in the service of beauty, but holds no intended function. A tortured creation of fancy— a butchered execution of will.
